Welcome to Adventures With Children! A community website for tiny (or not for tiny teen) travellers and their Moms, Dad, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents…. ok let me stop right there, if you love a child and enjoy travelling, you’re in the right place.

After taking about a dozen trips with my 1 year old twins, I decided to launch this site for a few reasons: First and foremost out of the love of travel. It is a transformative experience unlike any other and one of the greatest forms of learning for young, developing brains. Secondly, I wanted a place to share my families personal adventures and did not find other mediums to be what I was looking for. Now I’m sharing this platform with all of you!

Finally, travelling with kids is HARD! Like most great things in life, it is well worth the effort. Family travel is the fastest growing demographic, there’s a reason for that.

Read about a family houseboat vacation in India’s backwaters, find the best lightweight travel stroller or carseat, submit an article for publishing, like our Facebook page, tell us what to do your own hometown, or simply tag your photos #adventureswithchildren for the chance to be featured in our Instagram gallery!

Whether you’re planning your first ever plane trip, an annual summer vacation, or take 50 flights a year, AWC is here to help!

Welcome to the the tribe, now let’s show them the world!

Have you ever thought about taking a trip but felt it would be impossible to go with kids. I've been there. I love to travel but the thought of going to the grocery store with my new twins was daunting enough. Fate had other plans. My husband accepted an expat post in India and we moved our brand new family to the other side of the world from Hawaii to New Delhi. This has given us the opportunity to travel more than ever before. You know what, it was easier than I thought it would be. I am so happy to travel with my young children and have no plans to stop anytime soon. We are not a full time traveling family. Just a couple of wanderlusters who believe in the importance of showing our kids the world. While it can be harder to travel with kids, it's always worth it. Through my travels I've made mistakes and learned some tricks worth sharing. I hope you enjoy reading about our adventures and that they help you to plan a trip of your own. Happy Travels!
